Some images of the visit of Irish President Michael D. Higgins, accompanied by Sabina Higgins to the Isle of Iona, Scotland when they attended events to commemorate the 1450th Anniversary of St Columba/Colmcille’s arrival on the island.
Rev Peter Macdonald, leader of the Iona Community, welcomed the Irish leader along with Fiona Hyslop, Scotland’s Culture Secretary, and Michael Russell, the Education Secretary, who is the local MSP.
