Dear friends, members and colleagues,

Paul Laverty, screenwriter for Ken Loach (The Angels’ Share, Carla’s Song, Sweet Sixteen, Looking for Eric, Land & Freedom, Kes, etc.) has recently been in touch with Inclusion Scotland.  You can read more about Paul’s work here:  http://www.sixteenfilms.co.uk/people/view/3/paul_laverty/

He’s keen to speak to disabled people with physical impairment(s) who have lost benefits after a Work Capability Assessment (WCA) and maybe had to go through a lengthy Mandatory Reconsideration or Appeals process to get them back.  Also anyone who’s suffered a benefit sanction – particularly if linked to their physical impairment.

We have already managed to link Paul up with disabled people with sensory impairments, learning difficulties and mental health issues, hence why he is now keen to speak to someone with a physical impairment.  However, if you do feel like you have a story to tell please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

Your interview and/or story would be part of a film being made by Paul.

If you would be interested in taking part in this, or for more information, please contact
Bill Scott, Director of Policy: bills@inclusionscotland.org or telephone 0131 281 0861.

Many thanks,

Donna
