Led by Rev. Ali Marshall

A flamboyant, vain, rebel wanted more of God and found that that required him to own his desires and choices. Ignatius offers us ways to engage with God in the midst of ordinary life, mundane and exciting, with a faith that is not  confined to grand buildings on a Sunday but inspires and challenges us for Mondays too. Ignatius learned that the journey to and with God needs to involve a journey of self discovery to find what hinders and what encourages each of us uniquely. Gerard Manley Hopkins, Jesuit, wrote of a” world charged with the grandeur of God”, the island in its wild winter beauty will aid this inner work. And all this in a context of a call to serve that same world.

Alison is an experienced Spiritual Accompanier/Director who loves conversations that enable people to find their own way of adventuring into and with God. She trained in Ignatian Spirituality at the London Spirituality Centre and has been the Programme worker for the Iona Community on Iona. Her favourite prayer companion is Finn, a young Border Terrier.
