Travelling together as part of the ongoing story…

As a centre of pilgrimage for many centuries, Iona has played a significant part in countless pilgrim journeys.

In order to continue to be able to offer hospitality to visitors to the island, the Iona Community is currently raising £2.7 million to upgrade, refurbish, and improve the accessibility of  the community and living spaces in our Abbey centre.

As part of this effort, we are inviting everyone whose pilgrim journey has been touched in some way by Iona itself, or by the life and witness of the Iona Community, to join with us in our Pilgrim £ Project.

Pilgrim £ Boxes are simple way to either gather together your own personal donation over time, or to support a small fundraising event.  Visit the Pilgrim £ Project page of the website to download the box template (in a £, € or $ version), instructions for making it, and some suggestions for how to use it –  then get on and collect £s with your fellow pilgrims to celebrate both the journey Columba made to Iona and your own personal pilgrim journey as part of that continuing story.
