What an enormous privilege to be present at the Service of Committal and Service of Thanksgiving for Peter. Thank you for enabling this; such lovely photos too.
Peter was a gifted leader of the Iona Community and a lovely, humble man. I only met him twice and that was at Greenbelt but it was a memorable encounter.
    Thank you,
    Pauline Greenwood

    • Pat Bennett says:

Thank you for the lovely tribute Pauline. So glad that you were able to join us for service – there were a large number of folk around the world watching on the live link and it was great to be connected and stand together with everyone in both grief and celebration.

  2. Carol Pearman says:

Is there a way of donating on line for Peter’s retiring collection?

    • Pat Bennett says:

Hi Carol, I will check up on this and get back to you with further information.

      • Pat Bennett says:

Hi Carol – apologies for the hiatus (I’ve been out of the office). Although you can donate to the Community online, there is sadly no way of doing this AND indicating that the donation is for this purpose. However if you ring the office ( +44 (0)141 429 7281) and tell them that this is what you want to do, they will be able to take a credit card donation over the phone. Otherwise it would be sending in a cheque as per the details above. Hope this helps. Pat

  3. Thank you Kathy for this opportunity to share in the service of thanksgiving for Peter. It’s a very gracious gesture for those of us who couldn’t be there in person. Love and prayers for Lesley, Callum, Lorn, Jessie , Shona, yourself and all who loved Peter. I was especially touched by the way one of the boys comforted his gran. ( I cdnt make out who it was from their backs)Joyce

    • Pat Bennett says:

So glad you were able to share the service Joyce and thank you for this lovely message. I will make sure that it is passed on to Lesley and the family. Pat
