Lord, as I think of your Cross,
give me the courage and grace
to be able to visualise those who carry a cross today.
Let me be near those who are tortured and abused,
those who are abandoned,
those who walk alone,
those who are being robbed of their dignity,
those who only know war,
and those who are being killed
because they believe in you.
