Would you like to explore this practice on the beautiful island of Iona? \nWe will let the natural beauty of Iona become a springboard for exploring the contemplative path within the Christian tradition. \nYou need no previous experience of contemplative practice to join us\, just an openness and willingness to try. \nWe will weave the stories of the island and the Iona Community into workshops along with wisdom old and new. \nWe will have plenty of time for practice and immersion in the rugged beauty of the island. \nNo preparation is required but the following suggested reading will provide a good introduction and help with preparation for the week: \n\n\nDivine Beauty\, the Invisible Embrace by John O’Donohue \n\n\nCentering Prayer and Inner Awakening by Cynthia Bourgeault \n\n\nInto the Silent Land by Martin Laird \n\n\nFacilitators:\n\nRalph Patrick and Ali Marshall. \n\n\nRalph and Ali are soul friends; they met working on the island for the Iona Community a few years ago. They share a passion for helping people to encounter God in their own way and are trained and experienced spiritual directors/companions and retreat guides.
