DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Work Week: 2nd – 8th November 2024 – LIMITED AVAILABILITY \nAn opportunity to help our staff team in the many tasks to restore the Abbey Centre after a busy season. \nThis week is for energetic people who don’t mind getting their hands dirty. Typical work involves working with our team of volunteers and resident staff on gardening\, maintenance involving basic DIY\, cleaning\, moving objects and materials for worship between the Abbey church and the Michael Chapel at each end of the season. \nGuests on work week participate in the rhythm and routine of work and worship in community. Previous work week participants describe the wonderful energy of working work together over this ‘demanding common task’\, using their varied gifts.  Lots of laughter is shared at the work week ceilidh and there is some free time towards the end of the week to explore Iona. \n‘I learnt how the community works and how it all comes together to create something amazing.’ Work Week participant ’23 \n‘The experience of living in community was very spiritual.
