For many years the Iona Community has welcomed visitors from across the world to its residential centres on Iona but in 2018, due to an extensive upgrade and refurbishment project, both the Abbey Centre and the MacLeod centre will be closed to residential guests. However the Iona Community remains fully committed to its presence on Iona, and to the island itself  – our shop and welcome centre will be open from spring onwards, and we will continue to offer worship in the Abbey church at 9.00am and 9.00pm each day, including a service of prayers for healing each Tuesday evening.   We will still be running a full residential programme at our Camas Centre on Mull and also holding 4 residential programmes hosted by the St Columba  – 1 during Holy Week and 3 in late autumn – follow the links below for further details.  It is also our aim, once we can use various locations in the Abbey Centre, to offer some occasional programme events for those visiting Iona. However we cannot finalise arrangements or give any details for these whilst the building works are still in progress.  Once we can do so, we will publish information here on the website and all events will be widely advertised around the island.
