We invite you to join us in our beautifully refurbished and accessible Abbey Centre.

There is always time to listen, to reflect, to share and to learn more about the Iona Community, its passions and concerns.

True to its beginnings and the rebuilding by the Iona Community, the Abbey is a place where everyone shares in the practical tasks of communal living. You are welcome to join in the daily services of worship in the Abbey Church and, if you wish, help to plan and lead services.

As we gather and scatter as a global community, so we who live together in the Abbey gather and scatter, taking intentional time to reflect on those things that matter deeply to us, to pray, and to act. We invite you to join us in this lived expression of the life of faith.

There is plenty of time to discover community over meals, to laugh and relax outdoors, to engage in creative activities, to explore this beautiful island with its white sandy beaches and profusion of wildlife, to read or write in the library – or simply to be quiet in the peace of the church or the landscape.

Boat trips to Staffa are available and the Iona Community Shop is a good place to browse for poetry, history, books of prayers and on issues of concern, liturgical items, postcards, gifts and jewellery.
