Our interactive daily worship is taken from the Iona Abbey Worship Book.  From Monday to Saturday each week this service of Morning Prayer is said on Iona. Each day follows the same form but with different voices, songs, psalm, reading, and prayer of the day.  Covid19 and broadband restrictions prevent us from live-streaming the service from Iona itself so we have decided to share it in this way instead. We are currently updating the slides and adding in more voices; we will be adding songs as well over the next few weeks.

To start the download, click the  ‘Morning Worship [date]’ legend above. You should get a prompt box asking if you want to save the file or open in PowerPoint.  The simplest option is the latter; if you download you will have to then find the file in your downloads folder (the filename will either begin ICDO or contain the day’s date) and open it from there.  How you then start the presentation running will depend on what type of device you are viewing it on.  If you are having difficulty go to this page for detailed instructions for smart phone, iPad, PC and  MacBook.

All the words are included in the presentation so you can join in with those responding; however you will need to choose your own reading and songs or music to listen to and have these ready before you start. The voices are those of Community members and associates and their families and have been recorded by households isolating together.  A new version will be uploaded each day and in this way you can join with us as we work through our weekly, monthly, and three monthly cycles of psalms and prayer in fellowship with our staff  on Iona who continue to say this Morning worship each day.

We are very grateful to Andrew Symon and Karin Schmid for organising the project and collating the slides and for many other Members, Associates and their families who contributed to making the audio files for the 3 month cycle.
