WEST SCOTLAND

The Iona Community in the West of Scotland has 8 Family Groups – 6 in Glasgow, 1 in Argyll and 1 on Iona and Mull – consisting of a mix of Members and Associate Members.

There are also a significant number of Associate Members in the Region who are not members of Family Groups. There are just over 40 Members and about 170 Associate Members in the Region. There is a move to set up an Associate Members’ group in the SW of Scotland.

HOW WE WORK IN THIS REGION

For many years now, our Region has held an annual regional plenary. In the last 18 months we have had three online regional gatherings which have been well attended by Members and Associate Members. We have established regular meetings of the Family Group Convenors from the Region to plan future events. Events are advertised through Family Groups and emails directly to Associate Members.
