NORTH EAST SCOTLAND
Our Region was formed in the recent Iona Community reorganisation and is one of the largest in Scotland, stretching from the Firth of Forth to the north coast of Aberdeenshire, and from Stirlingshire and Perthshire to the east coast.
This includes those living in the AB, DD, FK, KY, and eastern PH post code areas, though folk are welcome to participate in another Region when this suits them better. Within our region there are five Family Groups:
- Carse
- Central
- Fife
- Grampian & Tayside
- Perth & Kinross
All our Family Groups are open to Associate Members who wish to join and who are able to meet a minimum 80% attendance level. Our region currently numbers 24 Members and around 84 Associate Members.
Post Codes in this Region:
AB, DD, PH1-PH18, FK, KY
HOW WE WORK IN THIS REGION
Our principal activity as a Region has been to organise online regional plenaries. One will be held at the end of January 2022 and there is a proposal to hold a face-to-face regional plenary in the early summer of the year. We see the Region to be a forum where all those involved with the Iona Community can talk through ideas and enhance their involvement in local action for justice and peace. We see helping individuals to increase their contact with the Community’s Common Concern Networks (CCNs) as part of our role as a Region.
KEY PARTNERS AND NETWORKS IN THIS REGION
Many of our Members and Associate Members make important contributions to local developments and initiatives.

A North East Scotland Regional Plenary will be held on Saturday, 1st October 2022, 11:00 to 15:00 at Bridge of Allan Parish Church. Further details will be provided in due course.
