***It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to postpone the Iona Community’s 2025 ‘Rooted in Hope’ pilgrimage with Ruth Harvey, Leader of the Iona Community. While we are sad to postpone, we are confident we can meet many of our aims for this pilgrimage without needing to take the risks that are currently involved in an onsite global gathering in the USA. Announcing Ruth Harvey, leader of the Iona Community, is going on a North American pilgrimage in Autumn/Fall 2025. Ruth will spend approximately 2 weeks in Ontario, Canada and 2 weeks in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic USA.
She hopes to:
- Encourage Members, Associate Members and Friends through meeting, listening, talking, preaching, sharing, encouraging and celebrating together.
- Reach out to existing and new partners to explore possible joint projects to enhance and deepen the work of justice and peace.
- Support New Members as the membership of the Iona Community grows and deepens in North America.
