Experience Easter on Iona
1 April 2026 @ 3:00 pm - 7 April 2026 @ 9:00 am

Experience a special Holy Week on Iona, where the land and sea scape will become our context for reconnecting with the events of Holy Week.
Drawing on the idea of ‘Outside Holiness’ as explored by former Iona Community leaders, in the prayers of George MacLeod and in the poetry of Kathy Galloway, we’ll connect different locations across Iona with the events of Holy Week.
Through guided island pilgrimages, reflective walking and sitting, and outdoor worship, we’ll discover how this ‘thin place’ opens us afresh to the story of service, betrayal, crucifixion and resurrection.
Join us as we explore the meanings of Easter within the walls of the Abbey and along the paths of holiness we shall discover in the wilder places of the island and of our hearts.
