Time and Space

This week has been booked out by Greenbelt Festival as part of its ‘Between the Fields’ year of re-imagination. The festival will be using their time on the island in community to do some focussed thinking, reflection and writing on its identity and theology as this critical juncture in its journey.

Greenbelt is an annual festival of artistry, activism and belief. It has a long and close relationship with the Iona Community. In 2027 it will not be producing its large-scale summer festival event (as it concludes the search for its next festival home, where it will produce its next festival in 2028). Instead it is engaged in a range of different activity, including working on its theology and identity as it begins the next leg of its 53-year nomadic, creative journey.
