IONA COMMUNITY NORTH AMERICA
With over 300 Members, Associate Members and Friends in the United States of America and Canada, the Iona Community works closely with the Board of the Iona Community North America to support all in membership in these countries. It is through the ICNA that Family Groups and Regions in this part of the world are growing, finding a deep sense of belonging together within the Iona Community.
The ICNA was initially established as the New World Foundation (NWF) in the 1960s as a ‘US 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit Corporation’. This was done initially to facilitate the contributions in US Dollars to support the Iona Community in Scotland. Although tax laws have changed in the last several years, individuals who desire to itemize charitable giving to the Iona Community can make those contributions through the ICNA for tax purposes. In 2023 the Board changed the name to Iona Community North America.
Increasingly the ICNA Board is directing its efforts toward connecting more fully with Members and Associate Members in the US and Canada. You can find out more about our Regions by clicking through to specific Regions on this site.
Given the distances involved, we know that many of our Associate Members and Members live far away from others. If this is you, you are invited to join our Dispersed North America Members and Associate Members Zoom group. We meet every six weeks, share the Iona Community daily office and lively discussion. Please contact John Dillon if you would like to join this group: dillonjohn0800@gmail.com
We share here short biographies of the Board Members of the ICNA.
