Gardening Sustainably
14 March 2026 @ 3:00 pm - 20 March 2026 @ 9:00 am

If you have never gardened, but would love to try, or if you are a beginner and want to garden more sustainably, at the same time broadening your actions for how you can have less of an impact on our planet through your daily living, then this week is for you.
Touching the soil and working with the miracle of plants reconnects us with our environment and creator and encourages us to admire, appreciate and fall in love with them more.
There will be hands on sessions in the Abbey and/ or community gardens with the exchanging of practical advice and soaking in of the amazing views. You’ll have the chance to learn about composting, propagating, the principles of “right plant, right place” and organic practices.
Classroom sessions will include sustainable practices in the garden and other aspects of our daily lives.

He’s trained on the job at two formal gardens and also works in the energy & water sector. More importantly, he’s a parent who has travelled the sustainability journey to changed behaviours.
