Jim Forest On Peacemaking
December 10, 2018 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Free
In conversation with Kathy Galloway
Tonight, weeWONDERBOX is delighted to host this event with Jim Forest, the renowned US writer, activist and co-founder of the Catholic Peace Fellowship.
Jim has been a tireless worker for peace since the early 1960s and is one of the few people still living who knew Thomas Merton as a friend and co-worker. Jim has written on Merton, as well as other renowned peacemakers, Dorothy Day and Daniel Berrigan. In 1988, Jim was received into the Orthodox Church. Since 1989, he has been international secretary of the Orthodox Peace Fellowship.
He currently lives with his wife Nancy at Alkmaar, The Netherlands.
Come and hear Jim in conversation with Kathy Galloway (co-Leader of the Iona Community) about these stimulating partnerships and how they have shaped Christian thinking on peace.
