Practising Hope (fully booked)
20 June 2026 @ 3:00 pm - 26 June 2026 @ 9:00 am

This week will invite us to explore the meaning and practice of hope from multiple dimensions—spiritual, theological, relational, and communal.
Set within the rhythms of community life at Iona Abbey, the week offers a space for reflection, worship, and shared conversation rooted in the Iona Community’s commitment to justice, peace, and the renewal of all creation.
Through prayer, group dialogue, and intentional community living, we will engage with hope not as a vague ideal, but as a lived and transformative force in our lives and in the world.
Programme leader

Jane Hodges is an Anglican priest and has served in an East End parish and is a prison chaplain. Prior to ordination Jane worked in housing and social care, in inner city areas of Sheffield, Manchester and London.
