Singing Week – Wild Goose Resource Group

15 August 2026 @ 3:00 pm - 21 August 2026 @ 9:00 am

Group of people singing in Iona Abbey for Singing Week with Singing Week with Lim Swee-Hong 林瑞峰 and the Wild Goose Resource Group’s Iain McLarty and Jane Bentley.

Singing Week with Lim Swee-Hong 林瑞峰 and the Wild Goose Resource Group’s Iain McLarty and Jane Bentley.

We believe everyone can sing, and in the power of singing to build community and connect with God. Join us for a week of sharing songs from around the world and from the Iona Community led by Jane Bentley and Iain McLarty from the Wild Goose Resource Group and Singaporean composer and educator Lim Swee Hong 林瑞峰

We’ll trace the journeys of our songs, listening to what the words and music reveal about resilience and hope, justice and healing. We’ll sing in harmony with worshippers across the world: from Scotland to South Africa, Palestine to Pakistan. There may even be drums.

We are passionate about singing as a communal and transformative act rather than a polished performance. Our approach to song is all about inclusivity, participation, and social justice. All are welcome. Music is too important to just be left to the professionals!
