Writing the Island

Join Kenneth Steven for a week of writing and walking and discovering the Celtic Christian stories and places of Iona.

In this dynamic and reflective week, we will explore the Celtic Christian story written into the island. You will have the chance to seek out the secret places of Iona that so many visitors never encounter. We will then use our imagination to write the stories of those places in the comfort of Iona Abbey.

If you are someone who enjoys walking and spending time in nature, but also love curling up with a good book and a steaming mug of tea, then Writing the Island is for you. You do not need to be an experienced walker to participate.

Accommodation for this week will be offered as single occupancy rooms at no additional charge. If you are booking with a friend or partner and would prefer to share a room that’s also possible – just let us know when booking.
