Staff at Iona Abbey receive lots of intangible gifts from guests.
Recently a large group from Denmark stayed. They presented us with very tangible gifts.
When sharing the gifts they explained, ‘the last time we came, we took things through the Viking raids, but this time we decided to bring gifts.’
A basketful of homemade socks, dish towels, cookies, candles, and other precious offerings from their homeland were given.
A volunteer joyfully proclaimed – ‘you are forgiven!’
