Week of Prayer for World Peace 2025

Week of Prayer for World Peace 2025

Our Interfaith Common Concern Network, in collaboration with Interfaith Alignment, and the Week of Prayer for World Peace, is delighted to provide a digital resource for individuals and faith communities worldwide.

The Week of Prayer for World Peace runs from 12 to 19 October 2025. Leaders from eight different religious and spiritual traditions and different parts of the world each offer a prayer via video for every day of the week. Although one person could never represent the rich variety of each tradition, these leaders offer songs, messages, and images from the core of their practice. In choosing one tradition to represent each day of the week of prayer, we are also aware of the many whose voices and prayers are not represented this year. We uplift these particular prayers in honor of all who are seeking and in need of prayers for peace, from all faiths or none.

Faith traditions

This year’s faith traditions to be included in the eight offerings:

  • Hindu
  • Jewish
  • Sikh
  • Maori/Indigenous
  • Muslim
  • Baha’i
  • Palestinian Christian
  • Wiccan

You will find the calendar on our own Prayer and Worship page where the prayers will open, one each day of the week. Once a prayer opens, it will remain open to be revisited through the year. They will also be shared on our social media channels, including our daily worship on our YouTube channel.

Pursue peace

Our intention through this collaboration is to encourage the pursuit of peace for all humanity by embracing the prayers of diverse traditions. By nurturing understanding, empathy, and harmony among faith communities, we aim to raise awareness of the practices and teachings of different belief systems.

It is our hope that through this initiative, we can demonstrate the imperative of inclusivity in the pursuit of world peace. Embracing the traditions, prayers, and hopes of all peoples is essential in fostering genuine and lasting global harmony.

Let us come together, bound by the common thread of compassion, and expand our awareness and knowledge of other traditions. By praying alongside individuals from various religious and spiritual backgrounds, we enrich our own practices and contribute to a more connected and peaceful world. Holding hope

May this special 51th anniversary of the Week of Prayer for World Peace inspire profound transformations within us and radiate its positive influence far beyond the borders of our own traditions. Together, let us hold hope in our hearts and join in harmony as we envision a world blessed with the gifts of peace, love, and understanding.
