Making Friends with the Bible

Some see the Bible as a book of problems, others a book of answers; some can hardly scan a line without being reminded of the voice of their childhood priest or pastor; others never open it, but keep it handy just in case; and for some others, it is seen as a book which can best be opened by people who have spent time in a seminary.

In this retreat we will engage with the Bible as with a friend – open to what our own experience and that of others may help us to hear in the variety of tones of the voice of God who breathes life into the ancient texts.
