HOLY CITY – Root 66: Marking the Days

Holy City’s Biblical blethers on the hoof resume with a chance to share and ponder the ways we mark (or don’t!) these forty days, this season of Lent.

With Jo Love as guide, taking us on a wee walk along an intriguing route, interspersed by conversations about a seasonal text, this month’s questions will concern the following …

What are the potential gifts of this season with its tradition for reflection and self-examination? Lent. How do you eat yours?

“Marking the Days” will be about sharing what Lent means to us and how we mark this season, if at all! Have a fresh look at Luke 4 and Matthew 4, the stories of Jesus spending time in the wilderness.

Sunday 6th March, 3pm. Meet in time for 2.40pm train from Glasgow Central or meet at Howwood Station at 3pm.

We’ll walk part of the Semple Way to Lochwinnoch RSPB reserve and round off with coffee or food in Lochwinnoch as we choose!
