This autumn, Iona Community Leader Ruth Harvey will travel across Canada on a Rooted in Hope: Lived in Community pilgrimage. This will include a month-long series of talks, services and retreats running from 24 September – 24 October 2026.
Ruth will visit Montreal, Guelph, Kitchener, Paris (ON), London, Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Naramata (BC) and Calgary, sharing reflections on hope, resilience and intentional community, drawing from her years of conflict transformation and faith-based leadership.
Alongside her, the fingerprint labyrinth, will pop up at churches, retreat centres and community hubs along the route, including a stop with the Canadian Peace Train in Edmonton and appearances on the way to Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
Highlights include a guided retreat at Five Oaks Centre (28–30 September) and a Canadian pilgrimage weekend at Naramata Centre, BC (15–18 October), which closes with a Hallowing Service.
